At Scala Biodesign, I collaborate closely with customers to guide them in utilizing ScalaOS for designing proteins targeting therapeutic and industrial applications, including enzymes, antibodies, and membrane proteins. My role encompasses running design campaigns from feasibility assessments to final variant delivery, while also serving as the scientific point of contact during pre-sales, onboarding, and post-delivery phases. I actively contribute to testing new platform features and aligning product development with scientific use cases in partnership with R&D and engineering teams.

Running evaluations, demos, and technical calls that connect client biology problems to platform capabilities. Sit at the interface of R&D and product, testing new platform features on real projects, defining quality requirements, and feeding concrete scientific use cases back into the development roadmap in close collaboration with software engineers.

Managed a biochemistry lab (3 FTE), delivering high-throughput assay support (cell-based fluorescent assays, radioligand binding, enzyme assays) for up to six concurrent small molecule insecticide projects in early- and mid-phase development. Directed two structure-guided mutagenesis campaigns to map and validate small molecule binding sites on membrane proteins, utilizing cryo-EM models and AI predictions.
