Proximus department in Herentals continuously test the in-the-field and future Digital TV systems and network such as servers and Set-top boxes. The set-top boxes are tested automatically for functionality and performance. These tests are automated by a Witbe robot with its integrated testing tool Witbe video script recorder (WVSR). To have a better report on the outcome of the tests, a program had to be developed that watches the video stream from the set-top box and deduct information from it while the tests are running. My tasks were to analyze the tests and set-top box, test multiple image matching algorithms and compare for the best-fit, develop the program which includes the image matching algorithm and develop an application to make the initialization of the program smoother.

The state department of agriculture in Finland had a project that they assigned to the University of applied sciences to design a system that lease out farmers to farms in need of extra help, manage and digitalize the hands-on guide of the particular farm into a guide application on a smartphone so that the farmers easily enroll into their new work environment. I worked in a team of four students. The project is made out of a three parts: -The management application: This application is used by the department to add new farms and information in the database. -The guide applications: The guide applications had to be developed for IOS, Android, Windows Phone and Harmattan OS. -The webpage and database. My responsibilities were to develop the application on the Nokia N9, develop the webpage and configure the MySQL database.

Master thesis: The assignment was to design an industrial automatic gate using electrical components (relays, stop switches, etc.) and control the gate using PLC (Siemens S7), microcontroller and a .NET application connected with the PLC. I worked in a team of two. My tasks where to design the electrical diagram in caddy++ Electrical, configure the PLC and develop the .NET application.
