Barbara Gorski, Ph.D.
English Language Learning Teacher
About
Simultaneously seeking ELL Teaching Positions, and Organizational Development/Behavior and Management Adjunct Teaching in Higher Education. After more than three decades in higher education, I long to advance my career in two areas: First, I want to pursue my passion for teaching English to new language learners. What began as a volunteer role has evolved into my completion of a master-level TEFL/TESOL certification. Second, I want to continue teaching management, and organizational development and behavior classes at the college/university level. While these two areas may appear quite divergent, in my morale framework there is tremendous overlap. I strive to make our workplaces more humane and develop each individual and team to their highest potential. I also am committed to ensuring that all individuals with whom I interact have access to full opportunities and their desired level of achievement. Attached please find my resume, which will highlight my career path and my various skills and areas of expertise.

English Language Learning Teacher
I teach individuals & with companies to improve English of Beginners - Advanced, & Business English.
Virtual and Twin Cities, MN
After leaving higher education, I decided to pursue professionally what I had loved doing for more than a decade as a volunteer - I became an English Language Learner (ELL) Teacher!. [NOTE: ESL - English as a Second Language - is not used as frequently today as many students are learning English as their third, fourth, or fifth language.] I worked diligently to obtain my Master's Certification and have been honored to work with individuals from around the world. I loved directing the Community Partnership Program for the Opus College of Business at the University of St. Thomas. I greatly respect and am humbled by my students' amazing service generously given to our worldwide communities, all without pay. While directing that program I consistently challenged myself to provide service as well, and it was part of that challenge that brought me to this work today. I found I was skilled at and delighted in working with folks to learn and improve their English. If you or your organization is seeking an enthusiastic teacher for English Language Learners, please connect with me. I receive generous reviews from my students, as I work hard to create lessons fitted directly to their needs and to make their engagement in learning exciting, useful, and fun!
