As CMD of a PSU, I had the dual responsibility of increasing the performance of the company as well as ensuring a positive thrust on the social development of the people around the project locations. • Increased the CSR expenditure of NMDC to an average of ~190 crore per annum. The thrust areas for CSR include education, health & hygiene, infrastructure creation, skill development, drinking water, etc. • As a part of Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, put a complete ban on use of single use plastic across all project and office locations and constructed ~4000 toilets across project locations. • Achieved highest ever sales in the history of the organization during a financial year. • PAT increased by ~80% from FY17 to FY19, Revenue increased by ~40% from FY17 to FY19. • Preparation and implementation of aggressive roadmap for completion of Steel Plant Project. • Introduction of the differential pricing mechanism for Karnataka and Chhattisgarh sector, leading to increase in revenue of the firm. • Bagged the prestigious “S&P Gobal PLATTS Global Metals Award” under CSR category in London, UK for 2 consecutive years.

• Manoeuvred steps to make the CM Office performance oriented, delivering effective and efficient services of the highest quality for utmost public satisfaction through use of social media and IT based grievance redressal system for efficient communication and grievance redressal. • Introduced a new mechanism for computation and rationalisation of electricity duty on auxiliary consumption of Independent Power Producers to make consumer tariff more competitive.

• Framed policies, rules and regulations for Government's approval and effectively implemented the Central and State Government sponsored schemes.

• Played a pivotal role in planning city level infrastructure for Naya Raipur, including four land roads, 24x7 hydro-pneumatic water pumping system, network-controlled LED based street electrification system, sewerage system, etc. while ensuring fast track completion of projects. • Formulation of new policy on “Integrated Townships Projects” with multiple amendments in various Acts/Rules/Regulation of different departments, thereby making the Houses and Plots of Housing Board and RDA, “free hold”. • Creation and introduction of ‘Chief Minister’s Awas Yojana’ for 40,000 EWS and LIG houses.

• Effectively promoted and publicized the flagship Schemes of the Government through sustained, innovative Campaigns and use of technology; launched tailored campaigns targeting the specific audience which led to success of the schemes. • Streamlined the administration of Chief Minister’s Secretariat through use of IT for effective monitoring.

• Implemented FM licensing policy and licensed 245 FM Channels through transparent bidding process as envisaged in the policy; Resulted in generation of more than 1200 crore revenue for the Government. • Fast-track preparation of Sports Broadcasting Signals Ordinance 2007 and prompt enactment of Act post passage in Parliament, leading to dismissal to multiple litigations, related to mandatory sharing of sports signals and up-linking and down-linking guidelines, by the Hon’ble High Court. • Implementation and propagation Community Radio Policy at national and international level.

• Efficient administration of the office of Minister of Human Resource Development with efficient coordination between the HRD Ministry and other departments under the Minister.

• Put in place a very efficient hospital administration system. • Prepared the ambitious AIIMS re-development plan 2020. • Established Grievance Redress Cell for the employees and oversaw construction of infrastructure for poor patients • Implemented multiple projects with state-of-art technology such as Jaiprakash Narayan Trauma Centre, Dr. BR Ambedkar Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital, Centre for Dental Education & Research, etc. to increase the success rate of services. • Rehabilitated slums from 32 Hectares of prime land belonging to AIIMS.
