• Assigned to the Planning’s Distribution Energy Resources (DER) Engineering and Analytics division. • Responsible for 100% prescreen requests by customers for integrating large battery (BESS) systems, solar (PV) systems, and hybrids into specific locations across the CenterPoint Energy (CNP) electrical distribution system. • Conducted impact studies on the interconnection of synchronous generators, including load flow and short circuit analysis, utilizing Python scripts in CYME to optimize efficiency and generate clear reports for CNP’s power distribution assessment. • Maintained weekly export and processing of all Peak Switching logs through an automated dashboard. • Assisted with Distribution Development Plan (DDP) reviews for all regions. • Led a project on circuit segmentation for exempt feeders (critical customers in the Greater Houston area). • Driving force behind automating the pre-screen process by implementing the Pre-screen Dashboard for the greater group.
