Led the delivery of infrastructure and community development projects across regional Queensland, providing technical leadership and project coordination from concept through to design development. Managed multidisciplinary teams, supported junior engineers, and worked closely with clients to deliver high-quality civil infrastructure outcomes across transport, land development, and regional improvement projects. Responsibilities included design management, technical reviews, QA oversight, resource planning, proposal support, and coordination of civil design packages in line with client requirements, relevant standards, and project delivery objectives.

🔹 Design Package Lead, Burke to Tram Alliance (BTA), Department of Transport Victoria 📍 WSP – Victoria | 05/2023 - Current As the Barrier Design Lead for the BTA project, I led a team in designing road safety barriers across three packages, from TAN C to IFC. The NEL Program connects the Eastern Freeway to the M80 Ring Road, including major freeway upgrades. My role focused on cost-effective, high-quality barrier designs, optimizing costs via value engineering and VFM solutions while maintaining strong client relationships. My design optimizations saved $18M. 🔹 Design Lead/ Project Manager, Beverly Hills Commuter Car Park, (TfNSW) 📍 WSP – Sydney | 12/2024 - 02/2025 I managed the As-built civil design of this multi-storey commuter car park near Beverly Hills train station. The project included stormwater management, roadworks, pavement design, and erosion control. I ensured compliance with TfNSW, Georges River Council, and Australian Standards while coordinating multidisciplinary teams. 🔹 Civil Package Lead, Armadale Line Upgrade Alliance, Main Roads (MRWA) 📍 WSP – Perth | 08/2022 - 05/2023 As Road Package Lead for ALUA’s Victoria Park to Canning Level Crossing Removal, I managed road design deliverables, ensuring compliance with project specs. The project removed five level crossings, built three elevated viaducts, and improved roads. I optimized designs to reduce rework and enhance efficiency. 🔹 Civil Proposal Manager, Sydney Road Asset Performance - SRAP (TfNSW) 📍 WSP – Sydney | 01/2023 - 04/2023 I led proposal forecasting for multiple transport upgrades, including road safety improvements, signal upgrades, signage installations, and intersection modifications. I prepared cost estimates, ensured TfNSW compliance, and coordinated with stakeholders.

🔵 Senior Resident Civil Engineer, Riyadh Airport Project (Riyadh Airport Company) 📍 WSP Middle East – Saudi Arabia | 05/2021 - 08/2022 Provided technical support & site supervision for the upgrading of roads, highways, and sewage treatment facilities at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA). Ensured design compliance, construction quality, and BIM implementation. Reviewed airport road designs for safety & efficiency, contributed to the Smart Airport vision, and evaluated the sewage treatment plant, including tanks, pumps, and drainage systems. Supervised on-site civil works, managed contractor coordination, and implemented flood & stormwater mitigation plans. Conducted material inspections, approved concrete mix designs, and ensured all works met QA/QC standards. Maintained the risk register, monitoring construction risks and proposing mitigation strategies.

🔵 Civil Lead Engineer, Development of Yanbu Industrial & Community City (RCY) 📍 Royal Commission of Yanbu – Saudi Arabia | 03/2019 - 05/2021 Supported the Yanbu 2030 Master Plan, expanding Yanbu Industrial City by 400 km², including roads and utilities. Ensured RCY standards compliance, reviewed designs, drainage studies, and wet utilities, and coordinated with Parsons to resolve design and construction issues. Led value engineering and constructability reviews, optimizing safety, cost, and efficiency. Assisted in pre-bid evaluations, contract discussions, and master planning updates. Reviewed submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings, resolved design conflicts, and conducted site inspections to ensure quality execution. Maintained risk registers and developed mitigation strategies for project challenges.

🔵 Senior Civil Engineer, Development of Jazan Economic City (RCJ) 📍 Royal Commission of Jazan – Saudi Arabia | 03/2017 - 03/2019 Led the civil design review for the development of a 2,300-hectare community area in Jazan Economic City, supporting Saudi Vision 2030. Ensured compliance with RCJ standards, coordinated infrastructure planning, and reviewed roads, utilities, and drainage systems. Optimized design efficiency, resolved conflicts, and facilitated stakeholder approvals. Assisted in pre-bid evaluations, cost estimation, and risk mitigation strategies, while contributing to master planning and safety assessments.

🔵 Senior Civil Engineer, Development of Riyadh City (MOT) 📍 Saudi Consulting Services – Saudi Arabia | 03/2016 - 03/2017 Worked on major transportation projects, including Riyadh Metro, Qassim-Makkah Highway, and Yanbu’s Transportation Corridor, leading road & highway design, interchange interfaces, and safety compliance while coordinating with MOT, Riyadh Municipality, and Royal Commission authorities. For Riyadh Metro, managed design interfaces, geometric design, and road safety, ensuring urban planning compliance. On the Qassim-Makkah Highway (600 km), led design reviews, interchange design (Cloverleaf, Trumpet, Diamond), and safety assessments. For the Yanbu Transportation Corridor (50 km), oversaw design, QA/QC for six interchanges, and road signage. Led Riyadh Road Network Development, enhancing intersections, pedestrian bridges, and traffic safety while securing government approvals.

🔵 Senior Civil Engineer, Developments for Aseer Region (MOT) 📍 Nahdet Al-Emaar – Saudi Arabia | 03/2012 - 03/2016 Led the design, planning, and development of Aseer’s road network under the Ministry of Transportation (MOT), specializing in geometric design, BIM modeling, traffic management, and construction support while ensuring compliance with MOT and AASHTO standards. Defined project scope, conducted site assessments and stakeholder meetings, and developed conceptual designs using BIM-InfraWorks. Designed geometric layouts, grading plans, signage, and drainage networks, ensuring safety, accessibility, and efficiency. Prepared traffic management plans, conducted swept path analysis (SWPT), and resolved contractor queries. Provided technical solutions for construction challenges, reviewed work progress, and developed shop drawings for roads and culverts to ensure precise execution.

🔵 Senior Civil Engineer, Developments for Beverly Hills City (MOH) 📍 Arabco Development – Egypt | 03/2011 - 03/2012 Led the geometric design of roads, streets, roundabouts, and intersections for the Beverly Hills City development, ensuring an optimized road layout, site grading, and drainage integration. Designed road geometry and parking layouts to optimize traffic flow, developed grading plans for proper surface runoff and soil stability, and conducted quantity take-offs using Civil 3D for accurate material estimation. Evaluated pavement structures based on traffic loads and soil conditions, integrated drainage solutions into road designs, and coordinated with urban planners and infrastructure teams for utility alignment. Conducted site inspections and surveys, provided technical recommendations to enhance design efficiency and reduce costs, and assisted in technical reports and project documentation for approvals.

🔵 Civil Engineer, Sohag International Airport (MOD) 📍 Ministry of Defense – Egypt | 06/2008 - 03/2011 Played a key role in the design and development of road infrastructure for Sohag International Airport and the SOHAG-SAFAGA Highway (340 km). Led geometric road design, grading plans, drainage systems, and signage layout, ensuring compliance with aviation and highway safety standards. Conducted surveying, material estimation, pavement design, and construction supervision, optimizing traffic flow and stormwater management. Utilized GPS and mapping tools for precise road alignment, reviewed invoices and quantities for financial accuracy, and implemented road markings and safety signage.
