* The highlight of this internship is that I developed tools to use Virtual Reality in client meetings and BIM models creation, review, and verification. In addition, I have successfully performed the following tasks: -Conducted field visits to plan data acquisition tasks * Performed 3D laser scanning related tasks in the field * Processed and registered the acquired 3D laser scanned data * Modeled existing conditions of scanned projects using AutoCAD, Revit, and other software packages * Verified the quality and accuracy of the developed BIM models * Participated in client and regulatory meetings * Prepared and performed QA/QC procedures to ensure the level of service provided to clients * Developed and updated office standards to measure and verify the quality of scanning and modeling deliverables * Prepared, updated, and tested office BIM execution plans * Created and updated tools for Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) applications * Implemented new technologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of survey/scanning/modeling/facility-management/asset-management workflow

* Development of public right-of-way accessibility guidelines resource materials (Fall 2013 – Fall 2015). * This $220,000 project was sponsored by the Illinois Department of Transportation. The project focused on: * o Capturing, analyzing, and producing 3D point clouds and BIM models for existing infrastructure in the public right-of-way. * o Recommending accessibility related content to be hosted on an IDOT website. * o Developing a comprehensive and concise field guide to be used by site engineers and inspectors. * Creating e-learning modules to explain accessibility requirements.

* Ph.D. candidate in the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. My research focuses on: * Utilizing Computer vision techniques to capture existing conditions of roadways and pedestrian facilities. * Evaluating the compliance of sidewalks and pedestrian facilities with accessibility requirements. * Improving compliance of sidewalks and pedestrian facilities with accessibility requirements.
