Aylin Tuyluoglu

I have over 19 years’ experience in textile and fashion industry. In 2000 I joined Kingsheen International, a textile manufacturer based in Istanbul, Turkey. The firm was mainly manufacturing and distributing apparel collections to large British based retailers, such as River Island, Oasis, Marks & Spencer and others. During the 7 years at Kingsheen become an expert in fashion industry and was promoted to “Director of Production and Retail Business Development”. One of my responsibilities as a Director was to identify and develop new retail strategies and identify new sales point. In 2007, I was headhunted by a new start up fashion brand “BNG – Design ” to grow their retail and wholesale business. At inception, given the nature of the start-ups, I had many roles and responsibilities. It gave me an insight of the commercial constraints of running a business. At BNG I have worked with the founders to make BNG a successful brand –today BNG has 11 retail stores in Turkey (domestic) and 3 International Stores; its products are sold in 25 elite boutiques in 20 different countries. The brand has exhibited in some of the leading fashion shows such as Tranoi Paris, Coterie NYC and holds the distinction of being the first and only Turkish brand to be accepted by ‘Milano Fashion Week’ I was part of this success from designing and opening new stores to training sales teams. I organised the formation of all the stores, fashion weeks and exhibitions.
