Avinash Yadav

Avinash is the EHS & Facilities Director at L’Oréal’s Baddi plant, leading the Environment, Health & Safety and Engineering functions since May 2021. In this role, he drives operational excellence, safety culture transformation and sustainable infrastructure development in a key manufacturing site for the Group. He leads a team of technical associates, steering cross‑functional initiatives that enhance reliability, compliance and performance across the plant. At L’Oréal Baddi, Avinash has led multiple “L’Oréal for the Future” projects, focusing on safety, sustainability and efficiency. He has worked extensively to strengthen the plant’s safety culture through robust EHS systems, risk assessments, behavioral safety programs and continuous training. He has contributed to improvements in integrated management systems and compliance with IMS, FSSAI and CII frameworks, ensuring that safety and quality are embedded in day‑to‑day operations. His work spans energy management, environmental performance, mechanical maintenance and lean implementation, with a strong focus on OEE improvement, loss elimination and digital tools to monitor and improve performance. Before L’Oréal, Avinash worked as an Engineering Manager at ITC Limited for about two years, leading end‑to‑end engineering initiatives across manufacturing, maintenance and productivity improvement. He began his career at Bosch Limited as a Process Planning Engineer, where he supported process planning for key components and coordinated activities such as control plans, trials, pilot orders and machine commissioning for new product introductions. Over the years, Avinash has developed strong expertise in project management, industrial engineering, lean manufacturing, mechanical maintenance and operations, EHS management and energy management. He has executed multiple projects focused on OEE and productivity improvement, cost optimization, process digitalization and Industry 4.0, as well as ergonomic, safety and quality enhancements on the shop floor. He holds a NEBOSH certification, reinforcing his technical grounding in health and safety management and his commitment to building safe, compliant and efficient workplaces. Avinash holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from IIT Guwahati. He is passionate about engineering and operations roles, new‑generation AI tools, sports and music.
