Conducted advanced research and analysis on a variety of subjects in International Law and International Relations. Planned, organized and managed research project from beginning to end and successfully attracted funding for research project and travel expenses. Effectively wrote pieces on various complex issues, including blog posts, journal articles and book-length manuscript. Disseminated and discussed the results of my research in conferences in Europe. Facilitated group discussions and taught complex concepts to students.

Undertaken comparative legal analysis into the legal framework for the prosecution of sexual and gender-based violence in Central African Republic (CAR), identifying the relevant substantial and procedural issues using legal and policy documents, in order to produce a report to be used by criminal justice practitioners, researchers and policy-makers in CAR. As a senior researcher, coordinated the work of the other members of the team based in multiple locations and researching on the Democratic Republic of Congo and Colombia in order to ensure consistency between all the reports. Presented the conclusions of the report to an international independent reference group in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Developed methods to improve the consistency and efficiency of the work required for each step of the development of the National Implementing Legislation Database. Identified relevant provisions implementing the ICC Rome Statute in national legislation in accordance with an established metadata scheme and allocated keywords to paragraph level information.

Measured the impact of the European Prison Rules and the European Rules For Juveniles Offenders Subject to Sanctions or Measures on European case law Analyzed cases of the European Court of Human Rights and reports of the European Committee for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman and Degrading Treatment or Punishment regarding the implementation of the European Prison Rules

Collected legislative documents implementing the Rome Statute or, more broadly, International Criminal Law in the legislation of all UN Members States to expand the database. Identified relevant provisions in national legislation in accordance with an established metadata scheme and allocated keywords to paragraph level information. Analyzed the different approaches taken by the States Parties of the Rome Statute in their implementing legislation in light of the purposes of the Rome Statute and drafted paragraph level analyses.

Provided advice and guidance to LL.M students on seminars, on the differences between civil and common law legal systems, on choosing a viable dissertation topic and planning their dissertation research, towards successful completion of their Master’s degree.

Provided constructive feedback to the students in order to help them develop their critical thinking on issues related to International Criminal Justice.

Provided French language proof-reading assistance to Professor Olympia Bekou in her communications with francophone local partners.

Facilitated group discussions and taught complex concepts to students of second and fourth year (10 groups of 8 students). Prepared teaching material to encourage students to engage with the subject matter and fostered group discussion, provided support to students throughout the year with their study, marked and provided feedback to students who submit formative essays.
