Audrey Klenke

I graduated from the integrated plastic surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati. My training at a large academic medical center prepared me with the experiences and skills for a broad-range of general plastic surgery including breast aesthetics/reconstruction, body aesthetics, suction-assisted lipectomy, facial aesthetics, MOHS reconstruction, non-surgical facial rejuvenation, and LASER. During my residency I was an elected member of the Resident Advisory Committee, serving as a liaison between residents and faculty to help voice concerns and achieve solutions. I have participated in multiple research projects including evaluating our experience with treadmill burn injuries at our Shriners Burn Hospital for Children, culminating in an accepted abstract at the Ohio Valley Society of Plastic Surgeons in 2012. In addition to my experience with formal presentations, I was the only resident invited to speak in a community hospital educational series on skin cancer. As part of my final year of training, I served as the chief plastic surgery resident, which involves organizing conferences, planning weekly grand rounds, monitoring rotating medical student and resident educational experiences, among other duties. During my training, I managed my own resident clinic. From establishing a diagnosis to initiating a treatment plan, executing the operation, and providing post-operative care, this was an invaluable addition to my rigorous residency training.
