Audrey B.
Associate Designer - Tween Active (Tek Gear Girls / FLX Girl) @ Kohl's
About
I've always enjoyed every point of the design process, from customer and trend research, leading into brand concept and customer lense, all the way to the pattern creation and construction of the garment. My biggest focal point of learning has been the adaptation of technology into design-- through 3D garment creation, PLM implementation, and other up and coming fashion within the metaverse. I've had experience with Gerber Technology, CLO, and Browzwear, and hope to continue to find new and improved ways of applying technology to the world of fashion-- not only to streamline process and lead time, but to reduce waste within the design process.

Sonoma Maternity is a youthful and feminine brand grounded in essentials with pieces to carry our customer through every moment of pregnancy. In this role, I interpret and execute designs for all categories of the brand (knit tops, woven tops, jackets, dresses, lounge, active, and non-denim bottoms), as well having full creative direction and owning execution of our denim bottom programs. This includes a wide range of responsibilities such as customer research and profile building, ongoing competitor analysis and trend research for each season, and fabric development and sourcing with our partnering vendors. From here, I begin R&D tech pack creation to prepare for upcoming seasons, understand and interpret line plan needs for the season, and collaborate and communicate our designs to our CFT (including Merchants, Product Managers, Marketing and Technical Designers). This also includes the use of our PLM database, BOM creation and upkeep, daily vendor correspondence, 3D CADing and rendering, and greige and linesheet maintenance. I also own all submit approvals for color, wash and print execution. These responsibilities apply to an average of 100+ styles every season, and growing!
