Hi, I’m Au Diya, Founder of Sneaky Surprise, a cookie brand born from a batch of soft cookies and a whole lot of heart. Becoming a baker was never part of my plan. I started out in data and physics, working as a data analyst, studying dark photons at CERN (the odds, i knowww). But during the pandemic, life took a turn. What started as weekend bonding with my toddlers over baking turned into a business that has now served thousands of happy cookie lovers. From rebranding under pressure to running a kiosk in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, I’ve learned (like others, the hard way) what it means to build from scratch. With no investors, just grit, vision, and butter. Lots of butter. Oh and chocolate....lots of chocolate. Now, I share real behind-the-scenes stories from building a small business in Malaysia, the wins, the lessons, and the cookie chaos.
