Assisted special-needs students aged 5-7, one-on-one, in their integrated grade classrooms, at recess, on excursions, and in the school resource room. Learned their Individualized Educational Plans and provided services accordingly, ranging from emotional encouragement to re-structuring assignments to promote learning and growth. Protected students’ confidentiality and dignity at all times. Upon annual employee evaluation, received an overwhelmingly positive review.

In working with Tirgan Records, I've worn many hats working exclusively within the company. Primarily, I've filled a communications-focused role; I assisted in running meetings, then formatting and distributing the minutes. Additionally, early in my time with TR, I served as Production Manager on the multiple-award-winning indie music video "And Love Is."

As an assistant innkeeper, I was involved with the vast majority of tasks to be done at the Captain's House. Over the course of the day, I might: spend the morning washing dishes, waiting tables, or checking in personally with my guests, busy my afternoon with room-checks, check-ins, and attending to phone calls/emails, or close out the evening by filing all the necessary paperwork for the next day and making sure everything's set to run smoothly overnight. My primary focus, however, was interpersonal. My most important duty was to ensure that the Captain's House retained a perpetual aura of comfort, kindness, and good humor. I learned my guests names, places of origin, reason for visiting, and tastes upon check-in, and did my utmost to tailor my service to them over the course of their stay. Before leaving this position, I played a primary role in training my replacement. By the time I departed, she was already performing above and beyond our expectations.

Helped with myriad elements of this busy community resource. In addition to selling books, I opened and closed the store, kept the space clean, loaded and unloaded books for events, and stocked and re-designed shelves and displays. I also provided over-the-phone support for customers regarding book orders, store events, and navigating our website.

After attending the Putney Summer Arts program as a camper for three years, I was invited to apply for this position. Acted as a full-time junior counselor (7am–10pm, every day) for students in grades 9-12 at this prestigious arts program. Helped organize camper registration and gave campus tours. Guided an international group of students in adjusting to the rigorous curriculum and to dormitory life. Lead social activities (including themed dances) and group drawing classes, assisted in overnight outdoor camping hikes, accompanied students on day trips to regional towns. Participated in staff meetings to learn about prioritizing activities, scheduling and communication.

Welcomed and served customers. Worked the register, handling credit card and cash transactions. Provided cheerful, calm and knowledgeable assistance with products in a very busy environment.
