My team's focus was the delivery of new therapeutic applications for dbDNA technology in the gene therapy landscape. I contributed to the progression of multiple projects, taking ownership of the experimental workload related to the development and validation of gene therapy platforms. From in vitro optimisation and validation to in vivo testing, I gained extensive experience in cell culture and maintenance, primary cell isolation, lenti production, transfection and transduction, and downstream assays such as qPCR, flow cytometry or ELISA. Maintaining and managing external relationships with CROs, collaborators and stakeholders was also common during my role, which helped to improve my soft skills, and fulfil my role as a scientist and a key member of the team.

As part of the Microbiology Division, I worked with an international team in a technology development initiative for the Diagnostic industry. I focused on the identification and characterization of clinical microbial isolates, gaining expertise in DNA sequence analysis and a variety of bioinformatics tools.
