Product Engineer @ Gentherm
About
I find cost. I fix designs. And I make sure the products that end up in Ford, GM, Tesla, and Stellantis vehicles actually work on time, on spec, and under budget. As a Product Engineer at Gentherm, I specialize in automotive seat comfort systems from concept through production launch. Over the past year, I identified and validated over $1M in annual cost savings across major OEM programs by applying Design to Cost (DTC) methodology, BOM optimization, and VAVE analysis. Here's what my day-to-day actually looks like: → Leading DFMEA, DVP&R, and design reviews to keep products safe, cost-efficient, and on schedule → Acting as the technical liaison between customers, engineering, and program management → Taking full engineering ownership of new technology projects, from CAD updates to customer-facing validation → Visiting customer plants directly to resolve quality concerns and strengthen OEM relationships → Supporting cross-functional teams on pneumatics, thermal, and lumbar technologies Beyond the technical work, I completed Gentherm's Applications Mentorship Program in 2025, which sharpened my communication with OEM engineers, improved my leadership approach, and deepened my understanding of how engineering decisions affect program margins and business strategy. I hold an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Wayne State University and a B.E. from Pune University, with hands-on experience spanning Knorr-Bremse, HELLA, and competitive SAE BAJA racing. I'm driven by one thing: building products that are well-designed, cost-efficient, and built to last. In 2026, I was selected by Gentherm as one of their Engineers Week spotlights — recognized among their global engineering team for curiosity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving. If you're working on something in automotive product engineering or seating systems — let's connect.
