Full cycle bookkeeping and preparation of accounts for a wide range of clients including SME, self-employed, partnerships Bank reconciliations for USD and CAD bank accounts Maintain various balance sheet schedules, e.g. the prepaid, accruals and fixed asset schedules and book associated journal entries Assist in calculating and filing HST returns, as well as payroll source deductions Foster the improvement of financial processes and controls including period end reporting and variance analysis and accruals Other general accounting duties as required

Preparing daily Sales/Revenue report and reconciling Sales Journal, PDQ & Receipts reconciliation, Cash & Cheque reconciliation, Purchase and Sales ledger, Stock Journal Obtaining quotes for operational and consumable products, highlighting the most competitive and implementing supplier set up procedures Flash reporting throughout the month on food, beverage and operational equipment costs Issuing and monitoring flash food margins for daily gross profit calculations Processing, checking and if necessary correcting all daily true-ups between departments Analysing and reporting on variances between actual and predicted costs Helping to streamline data inputting due to nature of the business with the acquisition of new ERP management software package. Providing support to the process of producing monthly performance reports, understanding the key messages, suggesting areas of improvements to cost centre managers

Assisting in the production of management accounts Day to day management of the businesses financial continuity, including posting invoices, bank statement reconciliations, payroll, A/P & A/R, tax returns and journal entries Preparing and posting accruals, prepayments and other GL journals whilst ensuring the accuracy of GL coding Preparing variance analysis on P&L lines against prior month and periodic forecasts Accounting for asset purchases and disposals and setting up depreciation schedules

Preparation of the monthly and yearly management accounts for dissemination to management, directors and shareholders to assist in the formulation and implementation of the organization’s business strategy Preparation of reports, that include but not limited to; P&L, Balance Sheet, Profitability Analysis, Cash Flow Analysis, Cost and Sales Analysis, Inventory Costing and Management, Credit Utilisation and Optimization Developing and maintaining relationships with client personnel to obtain a better understanding of business operations, processes and functions Participating in budgeting and forecasting Assisting with external audit queries during year end Designing and implementing financial control systems to ensure cost savings initiatives are attained
