Selected for a competitive internship within Sanofi’s R&D division, where I support the Patient Insights and Behavioral Sciences (PIBS) team in advancing patient-informed innovation. My work bridges patient experience research, behavioral science, and public health to help improve healthcare outcomes. I assist with qualitative and quantitative research, including collecting and analyzing real-world evidence (RWE), understanding patient perspectives, and identifying unmet needs in clinical care. I also support initiatives related to epidemiology, patient-centered research, and safety monitoring, especially around underserved populations and health equity. I provide comprehensive, person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) while ensuring healthcare coordination, medication management, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Medication Administration & Compliance: Administer and document medications using MARS (Medication Administration Record System), ensuring accuracy and adherence to state and federal regulations (HIPAA, Medicaid, DHS). • Healthcare Coordination: Monitor health conditions, assist with medical appointments, and collaborate with healthcare providers, case managers, and families to optimize care. • ISP Implementation & Case Management: Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) to support healthcare needs, behavioral strategies, and skill development while tracking progress and adjusting interventions accordingly. • Behavioral & Crisis Intervention: Implement Positive Behavior Support (PBS) strategies, manage crisis situations, and utilize de-escalation techniques to maintain a structured and safe environment. • Regulatory Documentation: Maintain EHR (Electronic Health Records), progress notes, and incident reports, ensuring audit readiness and legal compliance. • Community Integration & Skill Development: Support individuals in achieving independence through daily living skills training, employment readiness, and social engagement. • Administrative & Leadership Contributions: Complete MARS protocols, HIPAA compliance, and behavioral intervention strategies, contributing to program efficiency.
