Graduate Research Assistant
College Station, Texas, United States
• Designed and executed sustainable synthesis of hypervalent iodine reagents using oxygen as a terminal oxidant, providing an upgradation on the use of wasteful metal-based oxidants and hazardous organic peracids. • Developed first example of catalytic generation and application of Dess-Martin Periodinane (DMP) analog under aldehyde autoxidation conditions that led to aerobic alcohol oxidation chemistry. • Leveraged one electron oxidation of aryl iodides under aerobic oxidation conditions in the context of first hypervalent iodine catalyzed electrochemical C–H amination. • Accomplished reductive photoactivation of N–aminopyridiniums to access nitrogen containing heterocycles. • Collaborated with different research groups to identify sensitive reactive intermediates via EPR spectroscopy, leading to peer-reviewed publications. • Spearheaded research training for graduate and undergraduate students to general lab techniques, organic synthesis and catalysis, and co-authored several peer-reviewed publications with them. • Participated in drafting NSF and NIH research grant proposals. • Awarded several research awards including US Senator Phil Gramm Doctoral Fellowship, AFS Distinguished Graduate Student Award, and Derek & Christiane Barton Graduate Endowed Fellowship.

Graduate Teaching Assistant
College Station, Texas, United States
• Supervised laboratories in organic chemistry for sophomore students (CHEM 237 and 238). • Taught Advanced Inorganic Chemistry Laboratory (CHEM 433) for senior undergraduate students • Conceptualized and led a team of undergraduate students to develop laboratory course on green chemistry concepts for senior chemistry major students based on my thesis work (CHEM 433). • Awarded Eastman Chemicals Teaching Award in recognition of my effort.
