To be a positive student role model, encouraging prospective students and their parents to consider the University of Reading as a viable and attractive option. Duties include: Managing Open Day guides, attending UCAS fairs, giving speeches at various promotive events, providing administrative assistance to fellow staff, futher developing any medium through which the University promotes itself (handouts/websites and so on).

Providing academic assistance to disabled students; in particular with note-taking and tutoring. Duties include: Absorbing a wealth of raw information and summarising it into relevant, clear and concise points, whilst it is being presented throughout a lecture. Exercising good communication skills by liaising with the dependent students to ensure their study requirements are adequately met. Demonstrating the willingness and ability to understand new concepts and the diligence to teach additional and unrelated subjects between personal studies.

My time spent as a summer intern at the ECHQ afforded me the opportunity to work within the collaborative environments of the Commercial and Retail sectors of the company. Working over a summer placement, I acquired a broad, yet comprehensive, overview of the workings of Nestle's New Germany Distribution Centre as well as the modus operandi of the financial sector within Nestle's Bryanston Head Office.

Employment over academic holidays. Providing first-hand assitance to customers within the showroom and liasing with suppliers and warehouse distributors. The position has provided me with retail experience and has developed my skills in time-management, communication and enterprise. Duties Include: Showcasing tile ranges that relate to the customers wants and to negotiate prices in special cases. Monitoring product stocks and ensuring appropriate numbers of tiles from the same batch are available for sale. In the event of a sale, handling the appropriate administrative duties, arranging dates for pick-up or delivery and ensuring that the consumer receives their product.

Undertaking general warehouse tasks as directed by the Warehouse manager. Duties Include: Carrying out frequent stock checks, monitoring stock supplies and updating figures in the operating system. Actively following warehouse safety procedures and ensuring that fellow collegues engage in the same behaviour. Working as part of a team in serving customers, managing deliveries and preparing orders for distribution.
