I participated in a summer program called "Engage" through ELIC. I was in Hong Kong for a total of 5 weeks. Part of this time I was trained about teaching, lesson planning, communicating skills, and being in a different culture. For 3 weeks, I taught conversational English to my own class of about 20 middle school students in the morning time. I also assisted in coordinating activities for the students that helped them learn more about the American culture. These afternoon activities also helped the teachers build relationships with the students.
