I'm a recent graduate of MacEwan University from the Bachelor of Communication Studies program in Alberta, Canada. My research focuses on the differences between bookstores and how each bookstore communicates its culture and creates community and third spaces. Other research interests include the publishing industry (especially the differences between Canadian and US American publishing) and how socially conscious books are marketed to Young Adult consumers. You can probably find me in a bookstore if I'm not travelling. I have three years of experience as an event organizer for The Pokemon Company International. I coordinated dates and times, locations, staff, and event registration. I also ensured the events ran smoothly. I also have ten years of experience as a medical laboratory assistant. My experience includes interacting with and providing customer service to clients at all levels, from coworkers to patients to medical personnel. I pick up new data entry systems quickly. I was a SuperUser to help coworkers learn the ConnectCare system when it launched. I also served as a department representative for the company's safety committee.
