Provide client-centered aquatic therapy services using adaptive techniques, WST Halliwick, WATSU®-inspired methods, and functional mobility exercises in the water. • Accountable for developing and delivering mental health programming to up to 17 kids aged between 10 and 18 who were experiencing serious mental health challenges in the day hospital program at the new healthcare facility • Build and nurture client relationships to understand needs, mitigate risks, and overcome conflicts and challenges • Formulate and present evidence-based programming to help clients transition back into their communities • Conduct clinical assessments and partner with the multi-disciplinary team to generate care and discharge plans • Facilitate psychoeducational groups to educate clients on life skills and repair strained relations with families • Serve as Preceptor for Therapeutic Recreation students and offer coaching and mentorship during internships • Offer resources and referrals to clients and connect with community partners that can assist with reintegration Key Achievements: ✔ Pioneered the Move Your Mood program that was so effective in raising awareness of nutrition, cooperation, mindfulness, and physical activities that the program was expanded and adopted across the City of Calgary ✔ Played an integral role in defining and instituting the formal policies, educational groups, and theoretical framework that allowed the Summit Centre for Youth Resilience to treat 200+ clients to date ✔ Designed and established a new program for individuals accessing services & support from the Calgary Child and Adolescent Addiction & Mental Health and Psychiatry Program and trained staff on how to deliver the program

• Directed up to 4 employees in the day-to-day operations of the Adult Day Program with 18 members and the Recreation Program that provided therapeutic programming to over 130 residents at the long-term care centre • Accountable for the team hiring, training, supervision, talent development, and performance management • Processed referrals from Albert Health Services Respite Team and coordinated client intake and evaluations • Partnered with Case Managers to produce care plans for geriatric residents with various complex medical issues • Chaired caregiver support groups with 10 participants and instructed attendees on strategies and best practices • Administered client filles, completed biannual re-assessments, and attended case conferences and other meetings Key Achievements: ✔ Sourced and implemented the Activity Pro software to track resident involvement in recreational activities, communicate progress with family members, and leverage metrics to refine and optimize programming ✔ Improved program engagement and satisfaction among the palliative care residents at Newport Harbour Care Centre by shortening the program length while boosting weekly frequency to maximize participation rates ✔ Reduced negative behaviours among residents at Newport by enhancing staff training to mediate conflicts
