Previously I worked as a lead responder on the Northern Alaska Response Team (NART). Our team was primarily responsible for responding to oil and hazardous substance spills within the northern part of Alaska. NART would assist in larger and complex cases throughout the entire state. Our team was responsible for responding to everything from well control incidents on the North Slope to home heating oil tank releases and truck rollovers in Cantwell. Other duties included interagency coordination, providing training both internally and externally and many other community outreach functions. This position required high level proficiency in the Incident Command System pre the requirements of the National Contingency Plan and the Alaska Unified Plan. Coordination with various types of industry to plan for planned and unannounced exercises was a regular job duty.

Site Manager for Fort Wainwight Alaska Compliance Team

Currently I work as the Trans Alaska Pipeline and Interior Unit Supervisor. I supervise three staff that work in Anchorage and Fairbanks. Our team oversees the prevention, preparedness and response capabilities of regulated and unregulated facilities within the Interior Subarea and the entirety of the Trans Alaska Pipeline. The region I supervise is diverse. Trucking incidents, home heating oil tank releases, refineries, mines and military installations are some of the many types of responses and contingency plans that our team manages. Coordination with various types of industry to plan for planned and unannounced exercises is a regular job duty. Other duties include interagency coordination, providing training both internally and externally and many other community outreach functions.
