I was involved in research tasks for both the Fashion editor and Editor in Chief which was great to work on. I gained knowledge in the production of a monthly fashion magazine with an understanding of vital communication skills and time keeping. Organisation was key and I was really pleased with the amount of work I was able to deal with during this placement and the trust I was given from day one. It was a great placement and It really opened my eyes to the Fashion Monthly Magazine industry.

I was also able to assist the stylist’s during cover shoots and editorials, which allowed me to gain knowledge on how they were prepared, planned and executed.

For the duration of LFW in February 2015 I was able to assist Backstage at a variety of shows with Fashion Scout who hosted a range of shows at Freemason's House in London. It was a great experience learning about what goes into a Fashion show and how important each individual role is. I assisted the team in dressing models in-between looks throughout the show as well as providing help where needed such as moving or packing up collections, preparing hair& make-up rooms and steaming garments. It was great to be involved in the shows and feel the excitement and rush when it was all completed.

This type of commercial/ cooperate photography gave me a great deal of experience in a real photography environment, being flexible and creative.
