Lead a team of 8 - 10 operators on rotating shifts to ensure the production plan is executed in an efficient and timely manner while ensuring safety and quality are at the forefront of the production shift.

Responsibilities: • Ensured all field initiatives were loaded into Salesforce with the required information for perfect execution in the market. • Leading monthly Sales Briefing Rhythms, communications and agenda. • Reviewing trade activities and providing suggestions for continuous improvement to ensure activities were contributing towards brand and growth targets. • Supporting campaigns such as the Pure Blonde IMC, Carlton Dry IMC, Great Northern Zero launch. Outcome: • Lead and managed the rollout of NPD trial driving kits as part of a NPD field blitz which resulted in an incremental 1586 distributions across craft brands. • Revamped the off-premise sales driver program by developing 200 kits across CUB’s 6 classic and contemporary brands such as Victoria Bitter, Carlton Dry, Carlton Draught and Great Northern.

Obtained cross-functional exposure at CUB from projects in various functions such as sales, marketing, supply etc. but predominantly spent time working on engineering projects to improve water, heat and CO2 KPI’s. Managed projects from initial design, procurement and installation through to commissioning and handover phase. Outcome: • Commissioned flash steam recovery system on-site resulting in improvements of heat KPI and minimum annual savings of $ AUD 30,000. • Led and successfully delivered the CO2 self-sufficiency project for Abbotsford by increasing CO2 collection rates. Resulting in minimum annual savings of $ AUD 260,000.

Women in Engineering (WIE) Victoria provides a local focus for women in engineering by organising events for members, as well as the wider community. These events are aimed at supporting, attracting, retaining and celebrating women in the industry.

Managed Female Engineers at Monash (FEM) a student run society dedicated to supporting female engineering students by inspiring and connecting them with each other and females in the working profession. Leading a team of 12 committee members I chaired meetings and ensured the climate of each meeting was productive to effectively organize beneficial events for our members. During these meetings contribution of various ideas from each team member was greatly valued as the combined effect of creative ideas in a team was vital in developing successful events. All events were planned within a specific budget and social media was used as the main advertising medium for the events. The Industry Panel Night and Industry Guide Launch events held by FEM served as a platform for students to establish connections with professional organizations such as Aurecon, UBER, Bain and Company. One of the main achievements of FEM in 2017 was when it won an award for the first time as Club of the Year in Monash.

This project aimed to develop simple, accurate, instrumental methods to determine cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin compositions in biomass samples to; substitute labor and cost intensive wet chemical analysis methods. The lignocellulosic compositions of biomass samples were of particular interest due to its direct correlation to the yield of biofuels produced. My role as a researcher entailed: • Comprehensive research to determine previous work in the area of replacement of wet chemical methods and identify potential instrumental methods to substitute these methods. • Conducting experiments using the Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). • Critical interpretation of data collected from experiments to identify patterns and formulate quantifiable relationships of lignocellulosic compositions in biomass samples through Microsoft Excel. • Outcome: Effectively developed a standardized formula to quantify cellulose and lignin compositions in biomass samples using instrumental methods proposed (FTIR, TGA)

Analyzed the production and packaging process line to develop cost effective process improvement techniques. I worked closely with the lead production engineer and operators to facilitate the implementation of the ‘5S’ workplace organization tool to; improve production efficiency and eliminate waste on the production site. This internship tested and explored my innovative and creative thinking skills to devise cost-effective solutions. Additionally, it also exposed me to the practical and technical aspects of production engineering. My main accomplishment during this internship was when I successfully developed and introduced an innovative solution to address key safety issues on the shop floor. Consequently, this method positively impacted the implementation of the ‘5S’ principles within the production site.

Volunteered as an educator at Fugee School in Malaysia. Fugee School works closely with the refugee community in Malaysia and provides education to 160 students from various countries such as Somalia, Yemen and Libya. As an educator, I formulated unique lesson plans for different groups of students with an aim to ignite their passion of learning. One of the students I taught was a young refugee with hearing impairment, my lesson plans with him focused heavily on enunciation of my words and lowering vocal tones as well as facing him whenever I spoke allowing him to easily read my lips. It was a wonderful experience and it was elating to observe my efforts pay off when I realized that his English reading and writing skills were significantly improving after multiple lessons. After school hours, I organized managerial paperwork to register all students into the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) database, alongside assisting the principle of the school with small projects for Fugee School.

My key role as an intern at PwC involved the verification and certification of data to ensure the accurate reporting of clients’ sustainability performance within strict deadlines. I worked closely with the executives of the sustainability team to verify the data published for clients’ stakeholders. The outcome of this verification served as a gauge for the effectiveness of internal controls and measures adapted by these clients. Primarily a client facing role I developed the ability to interact with a diverse range of clients from the public and corporate sector. Through the effective completion of my assigned tasks, I was able to build a relationship of mutual trust with my manager at PwC. This resulted in an exciting opportunity whereby I facilitated the completion of an audit report with a client independently.

Worked as a childcare development teacher and delivered specific lessons to infants and toddlers. These lessons were tailored to develop their social interaction and cognitive learning skills. The lesson plans included conducting a range of activities such as; singing and dancing with toddlers and accompanying parents. Each class consisted of a maximum of 15 pupils excluding accompanying parents. This role was often completed in rapid environments and it was vital to work together expeditiously with other team members to ensure business activities ran smoothly and there were no interruptions to on-going lessons delivered. The operational activities ranged from administrative work to sales of merchandise and class packages.
