Was re-hired in Bharti Airtel Ltd. but this time in a management role rather than in operations. The job involved acting as a 'Subject Matter Expert' on Information security management in the corporate team; acting as an advisor for senior management, designing and recommending secure solutions for business requirements for Bharti Airtel's telco business. Managing IT Outsourcing partner's teams of security consultants to drive security governance and compliance objectives. Conducting Information Security audits for various key business locations.

Acted as a security consultant in the Managed Security Services team in Bangalore. The job involved remotely managing and monitoring IT/Network security for data networks for global customer base C&W Plc. The in-scope infrastructure included enterprise firewalls from checkpoint, cisco, juniper (netscreen), watchguard; VPN concentrators from Nortel and Cisco, ArcSight correlation engine and RSA Secure ID. Another key responsibility was to handle Security Incident Response for C&W customers.

Worked as a network security expert on an IT Outsourcing project for a client in Texas, US. The project involved the Secured Network Connectivity planning & design from offshore via VPN tunnels and subsequent system administration tasks for client’s IT infrastructure

Worked at Bharti Televentures Ltd. (now known as Bharti Airtel Ltd.) Key responsibilities included: Design, administration and management of Network / Security infrastructure for Bharti’s Primary Datacenter in Delhi. The infrastructure under management included Netscreen enterprise-class firewall (NS-500), RSA Secure ID, ISS NIDS and HIDS, Cisco 7206 Routers, Cisco 6509 Switches etc.

Led secure remote management software development in C / C++ on Linux platform. Supported overall solution design for a major project for 'remote building management system'. The remote management was done in secure channels over PSTN channel with error detection and correction capabilities.
