Core Duties were to Design, model and test prototypes for products, by establishing the required Design Briefs. Role basically involved creating CAD drawings & procedures as required by the business. Being part of the team, I was also involved to produce work pack that will be further be issued to production for manufacturing - containing BOMs, sales order and work orders for production. Design and Development process involved me in, conducting research and creating design proposals for projects - Identify and select material for production and finally produce drawings according to the required specifications. Main projects involved Design and Development of an "LV Cabinet" with new concept of build and the "Container Designing" for Transformer Unit. This position has given me more knowledge of Transformers, Electrical components associated with them, as well as IP Codes - Safety Related. Design Software: Auto-CAD & Solid-works, Proge CAD Data Management Systems: Progress, Vault, Therefore. Outcomes: - Decreased the costs of parts and improved manufacturing efficiency by implementing highly productive development processes and innovative design options. - Fabricated prototype parts and assemblies to understand actual part condition during assembly.

Propose Design Solutions for various Manufacturing Industries. Responsibilities included assisting with planning, conducting, and evaluating approaches to meet project objectives in a timely, cost-effective fashion. Strategize part layouts to ensure that all components work together seamlessly, identify potential problems, record findings, and provide alternatives. Review manufacturability, costs, profitability, and appearance of new parts and layout proposals. Develop testing specifications, analysing the strength, durability and dynamics of Product designed.

Inspecting the Quality of Products arriving at the Warehouse from different parts of world, then to ensure if it is within the specification limit for further processing, such as packing for main stores. Analyse the quality of product, conduct various tests against the checklist provided and update it onto the system. This updated information regarding product quality was later extracted as a report and sent through to the suppliers and line managers.

As a Customer Services Assistant I was part of a team responsible for making the customer's experience the best it can be. Answering customer's queries made up a large part of my role, keeping me in regular contact with customers face to face. It was also my responsibility to keep up to date with all products, services and procedures. My daily routine was varying depending on the number of customers. It included everything from unpacking goods, stocking shelves and arranging displays to taking part in customer promotions or events.

I have worked at "Karnataka State Seri-culture Research and Development Institute" as a Project Engineer for a period of 12 months, under the guidance of Dr.E.Muniraju. I was working on a project (Internship) of design & development of a material handling equipment for conveying the post harvesting bed for Sericulture Industry. My key responsibility was to lead a team of three other Engineers. Initially the problem was to analyze the present method of conveying the bed, by carrying out various surveys in different villages. Based on the requirements of the problem people were facing at the post harvesting stage, the design of material handling equipment was modelled and drafted. Once the design was confirmed and accepted by the Research lead, a fabricator was consulted to fabricate the equipment as per the drafted drawings. Raw materials for the fabrication were procured at best vendors by conducting various research in the market. Finally, the equipment was successfully assembled at the research institute lab for the testing purpose. Many road blocks were faced while processing this project. My Assertive communication within the team and outside the team played a highly significant role to be managed efficiently. Proper planning and structural approach really helped us to successfully execute this Project. The key outcome of the Project were: Increased Productivity, Reduced labor power and time, Cost effective, User friendly, and protects labourers from health hazards. I have also achieved second place in state level symposium (Paper presentation) related to this particular project at Siddaganga Institute if Technology, Tumkur, Karnataka, India. My role in this company was to ensure that the manufactured components (Such as nuts, bolts, screws, jigs etc.) were as per the set standard requirements. I was holding the designation of “Quality Inspector” in this company. The key responsibilities of this role was to pick the samples (5 in 100) from every machine, measure them and update them onto the checklist. During this process, if a defect component with out of scale measurement was found, it was my duty to stop the processing, inform the machine operator regarding it, and make sure that the precision deviation is corrected before further processing.

Exposure to in-depth concept of Project Management and principles underlying such as planning, value management, finance as a key factor and many more. Involved in various group projects and discussions which enhanced my skills as a team player and boosted my confidence to stand up for my opinions. Instead of being just academic student, involved myself in various extra-curricular activities at the student's union, which has made me more of socialising individual too.
