Research Area: Image processing, Medical imaging, Statistical analysis, problem solving and Hypothesis testing and optimzation Thesis:Medical image segmentation by transferring ground truth segmentation Developed the system to solve the problem of medical image segmentation of hip joint images. The algorithm uses the shape matching to find similarity with database images which are segmented manually by the expert people. The system finds the best matched images in the database for the unsegmented medical image and transfers the manually segmented data to unsegmented image.The system uses Hausdorff distance, simulated optimization and Affine and rigid transformation.
