Asa Johnson

Asa Johnson, originally from San Diego, California grew up spending most of his free time surfing, water skiing or swimming in the ocean. At the age of 24 he moved to Alaska where he joined the fire department and became a Firefighter / EMT. In 1986 he got involved in Hyperbarics and became a dive supervisor, and in 2005 got certified Open Water Scuba Diver. Asa is a PADI Professional Open Water Scuba Instructor with over 700 logged dives. He moved to South Florida in 2013 so he could follow his dream of teaching Scuba. With a natural love for the ocean environment and a never ending willingness to go the extra mile in sharing his adventures, he is very calm and at home in the water. His favorite dives to do is dive with sharks, but you will also find him at Blue Heron Bridge looking for the small stuff.
