Hired to oversee Fabrication department consisting of C.N.C. Router type machines along with a team of fabrication assemblers. Improved 1st pass yield by improving relations between operations, quality, and engineering support staff. Achieved by addressing issues with corresponding department managers and enforcing a chain of command approach for escalating issues. Incorporated engineering point of view when ordering materials with renewed focus on controlling expired materials. Developed operations team to verify Work Instructions developed by engineering. Once A WI was proven, then this method was the only approved method of production. Continuous Improvement Efforts - C.N.C. Identified sources of rejections and lead cross functional team along with machine supplier to develop an action item list to help eliminate panel slippage. Reduced machine tool variability by grouping similar tool and standardizing tool list across all product families.

Hired on with the goal of improving total output and reducing quality defects. Collected data to establish baseline of machine cycle times according to machine type and product family. Created scheduling system that identifies the approximate completion date of jobs not yet on machines. *Improved productivity from 65,000 pieces per day to 95,000 while reducing headcount from 61 employees to 42. *Headed project to re-build 4 LZ01 Miyano type lathes, previous output 1,920 pieces per day, now 5,120 pieces per day. *Headed 1.6 Million dollar project to acquire 4 new BO385 Tsugami machines. *Implemented cross training on Tool Monitoring Systems and increased production by 2000 pieces. *Developed machine capacity model to schedule C.N.C. and Davenport Machines. *Responsible for scheduling jobs on machines with the goal of reducing change over times. *Work along with vendors such as Rem Sales, Ellison, Nathan CNC, YMW, OSG,Jarvis, Guhring, Tungaloy, AC Drills, and National Distribution to resolve production needs. *Lead Safety Committee Team to eliminate repeat accidents.
