This involved anaerobic protein purification, mammalian cell culture, Ubiquitin assays, Radical SAM assay, Mass spectroscopy, Pull down assays, Immunofluorescence. - Managed laboratory functions including organization, ordering and scheduling equipment use Trained new graduate and undergraduate students. - Published 5 peer-reviewed high impact scientific papers, reviewed manuscripts, and grant proposals.

I worked as an Research Associate in the lab of Dr. Kaustuv Sanyal at Molecular Biology and Genetics Unit (MBGU), Jawaharlal Nehru Center for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR). I was involved in two projects one in collaboration with Dr. Ravi Manjithaya, MBGU, JNCASR (for high throughput small molecule screening) and second with Dr. K.V.R. Chary (Dad2 structure determination) at Department of Chemical Sciences, Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR). - Developed a high throughput luciferase-based screening assay for small molecule inhibitors of the fungal-specific Dam1 complex. Incorporated molecular biology techniques such as cloning, indirect immunofluorescence microscopy, chromatin immunoprecipitation and 96-well plate assays for assay design and validation. - Analyzed the structure-function relationship of the Dam1 complex in pathogenic yeast Candida albicans. This involved biochemical and biophysical characterization of the intrinsically disordered Dad2, a subunit of the Dam1 complex in vitro and in vivo.

Graduate student with Dr. Eui-Jeon Woo at BioMedical Proteomics Research Center, Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology (KRIBB). I was co-mentored by Prof. Tae-Jib Kim at Chungbuk National University. - Determined crystal structures of carbohydrate modifying enzymes by X-ray crystallography. This involved application of amino acid analysis, N-terminal sequencing, mass spectrometry and biochemical/biophysical assays. - Developed an engineered Estrogen receptor FRET biosensor for ultra-sensitive detection of phytoestrogens. - Published 4 peer-reviewed high impact scientific papers.
