I am currently working at PT GS Battery as a Production Officer. My daily tasks include assisting in monitoring the production process, starting from standards, control plans, and work instructions, to safety. Through this process, I often find improvement ideas to enhance key performance indicators such as productivity, quality, safety, COPQ, and CR. At PT GS Battery, I have also been entrusted to work in two different sections — Casting and Formation. The Casting section is responsible for producing grid products (the plate framework in batteries), while the Formation section handles the plate charging process (providing positive and negative charges to the plates) before they are sent to the assembling process. Working in these two sections has not only enriched my experience and personal value but also taught me how to work under two supervisors, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks efficiently. Before joining PT GS Battery, I worked as a QA/QC Foreman at PT Hartono Istana Teknologi (Polytron). My responsibilities included monitoring the quality check system, analyzing problems, and discussing quality issues related to both current and new products with the product and process engineering teams. In the quality inspection system, I monitored results through check sheets and occasionally conducted on-site inspections to ensure that inspectors followed work instructions and control plans properly. For problem analysis, I typically used the Fishbone Diagram method, examining factors such as Material, Machine, Method, Man, and Environment. Lastly, I often conducted genba (on-site observation) sessions with the engineering team. By observing directly on the production floor, it was easier to explain issues and find effective solutions. I believe that when facing a problem, the best approach is to identify and implement a solution as quickly as possible. In summary, these experiences reflect my three years of career growth in the manufacturing industry. Thank you.
