Controlled the areas of Accounts Payable / Disbursements, Payroll, Fixed Assets and related Capital Expenditure reporting for this Satellite radio operation with over $1 billion in Gross Fixed Assets. Managed Tax Compliance including Sales and Use Tax, Communications Tax, Personal Property Tax and provided necessary data to CPA firm for preparation of Federal and State Income and Franchise Tax Returns. Updated SOX documentation in these areas and participated in the Sox audits.

Managed the financial reporting (including SEC type reporting to the Parent), financial planning, General and Cost Accounting operations, Cash Management and the external audit for a multi-billion dollar subsidiary of global Japan based parent company. Involved in all major business initiatives (and determined the appropriate accounting treatment in accordance with U.S. GAAP), acquisitions (at both due diligence and integration stages) and systems implementation and improvement. Leadership role in successful implementation of the Finance and Controlling modules of the SAP software package. Accounting and Finance liaison for documenting Accounting systems and controls in company’s process to be compliant with JSOX (Japan version of Sarbanes-Oxley).

Directed the Accounting operation for this distributor of scientific instruments and manufacturer of airport security equipment. Responsible for Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Financial Reporting, Budgeting and Payroll. Designed a process to track service labor and parts usage for service contracts, warranty, non-warranty repairs and installation to support pricing strategies and to improve profitability. Successfully coordinated the implementation of MAPICS Accounting Software.
