• Created numerous subject specific resources, mentored, and taught classes for medical students • Held open classes for hundreds of students outside of standard hours to provide additional support

• Research focused on developing a virtual reality program to diagnose children at risk for bullying, victimization of bullying, poor self image and drug use • Worked in a recording studio to develop the English version of the virtual reality program • First author on publication of preliminary research findings • Coordinated administration of virtual reality program for multiple school districts

• Rotated through Neuropsychiatry, Emergency, General Medicine and Orthopedics • Participated in community outreach at an orphanage to build/repair housing and spend time with/educate children • After a month of learning and gaining experience, assisted in diagnosing and treatment decisions for patients in the Department of General Medicine

• Worked in the Emergency, Neurology, General Surgery, Trauma Surgery and Neurosurgery wards with several different physicians • Observed/assisted in appendectomies, amputations, laparoscopic cholecystectomy's, spinal cord decompression's, brain tumor resections, hernia repairs, hemorrhoid banding's, fracture splinting, abscess draining and several other procedures. • Observed in the Emergency Room and assisted in some life saving procedures. • Taught Sri Lankan nurses English to prepare them for upcoming training. • Volunteered for two community outreach programs where I tested the blood sugars and blood pressures of Sri Lankans living in remote villages. • Volunteered to paint an orphanage that housed female victims of domestic violence.

• Worked with a team of students and staff writing grants to acquire funding for the foundation • Double checked final drafts to fix any errors in statistics or grammar • Helped organize community events to educate and provide care for those infected with Hepatitis • Helped prepare for a Liver Conference Campaign by gathering statistics on various liver diseases, statistics on the foundations efforts and creating/editing fliers with fellow student interns • Helped members of the community save millions of dollars and connected them to resources to receive care if needed
