About
Biology as a subject has always interested me and throughout my many years in the fields of medical laboratory science, academia and biotechnology I have worked on different disciplines from Microbiology, Gastroenterology, Neurobiology and Ophthalmology. All these have involved treatment of pathological conditions with pharmacological agents, growth factors, gene and cell therapies involving a multitude of techniques and protocols for delivery, assessment and Characterisation. My current position involves the use of stem cells to generate organoid platforms to test the efficacy and validate in house and CRO produced viral vectors for different inherited retinal diseases and neurodegenerative disorders. I am totally fascinated and in awe by the ability of stem cells to evolve into different organoids in a petri dish and allow us to delve into the secrets of human development, deciphering mutations and creating therapies to cure innumerable diseases of the human body. I enjoy learning new techniques to enhance my skills set and applying them to further research and development in the area that I am working in. I am inclined towards new challenges and overcoming obstacles and inhibitions to create competitive solutions in answering the many biological questions that exist in the multi-disciplined research environment. Ultimately leading to therapies for curing diseases across different functional disorders of the human body.

Preclinical Senior Research Scientist
