Based within the Los Angeles Unified School District and assisted students with Math and English in a classroom setting. Specialized in assisting students who are not native English speakers or who are long-term English learners. This is in addition to serving as a mentor and demonstrating to students the advantages of pursuing higher education.

Conducted a study that examined the ways in which NGOS in Durban, South Africa use music to provide HIV education to young black adults. This study took place from May 2014-July 2014. Methodologically this study was accomplished through conducting twenty interviews, and participant observation through working at a Durban based NGO. All data from this study was presented at undergraduate research conferences and was used in another study that compared HIV education strategies for young black adults in Los Angeles, California.

Charged with revamping social media outlets in addition to writing the quarterly newsletter, press releases and running fundraising campaigns. Also was responsible for accompanying facilitators into the field and assisting them with conducting surveys, and taking photographs.

Worked with children to develop interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. Also aided children in acquiring responsible health practices, and understanding the building blocks of healthy relationships.

Specialized in working with children who are both long-term English learners, and non-native English speakers. This is in addition to working with children who have mild to severe learning disabilities. Was also responsible for educating parents about Kumon's educational ideology and the ways in which to best implement the Kumon methodology within their homes.
