The Bonner Foundation works in sustained partnerships with 65+ colleges and universities that promote "Access to Education, Opportunity to Serve." These developmental four-year programs engage 3,000 students each year, supporting the college completion of 22K+ alumni in 25 states. Bonner Alumni are talented civic leaders, working across all sectors to promote the wellbeing of people, communities, our nation, and our world. With student leadership at its core, the Bonner Foundation and our national network of campus-based programs leverage resources to build deep partnerships and projects, resulting in sustained engagement and positive change on issues like education, environment, health, and wealth. Through this process, we support faculty and staff to transform their institutions to make real impact in our communities, improving our quality of life. We demonstrate proven outcomes for students, institutions, communities, our country, and our world, with a scalable, evidence-based, simple, and effective model.

The Ripples of Hope International Fellowship engages dedicated and accomplished young civic leaders with global roots, ages 20-27, from South Africa and the United States. These Ripples of Hope Fellows participate in a year-plus cohort experience of deep learning within an international learning community. Through immersive in-country experiences, monthly online workshops, and personalized networking and coaching, Fellows pursue their vision, goals, strategies, networks, and resources as lifelong agents of positive community change. As a foundation and member of the Leadership Team, I recruit and support Fellows and Alumni; develop and facilitate curriculum and education; plan and manage experiential learning opportunities; cultivate strategic partnerships and alliances; garner resources, and build infrastructure for the program.

Volunteer role with the National Advisory Council for the Carnegie Community Engagement Classification, managed by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the American Council on Education. Through this elective classification (equivalent to LEED for environmental sustainability), colleges and universities prove the impact of their engagement with local communities. This work is closely linked with enriching the quality of life of students, alumni, the institution, and surrounding neighbors, regions, national and international partners. Institutions are recognized for their deep, pervasive, and transformational work.

Volunteer role with AAC&U, the leading national association concerned with the quality, vitality, and public standing of undergraduate liberal education. Founded in 1915, AAC&U now comprises more than 1,300 member institutions. * Board Member of National Advisory Board for Diversity & Democracy * National Advisory Board Member for VALUE Initiative (Valid Assessment of Learning in Undergraduate Education) * Member of Faculty Design Teams responsible for the creation of VALUE Rubrics for Civic Engagement, Civic Values, & Integrative Learning Rubrics * Member of the Civic Learning and Democratic Engagement (CLDE) Consortium, responding to the implications of the U.S. Department of Education Report, "A Crucible Moment"

Volunteer role with the Center for Engaged Democracy, which acts as a hub for developing, coordinating, and supporting certificates, minors, and majors focused on civic and community engagement. The Center, housed within Merrimack College’s School of Education & Social Policy, brings together faculty, administrators, and community partners to support academic programs that are connected with community engagement. Volunteer roles with the IMPACT Conference, an annual event that educates students about community service, service-learning, research, action, and community building. Building on the rich 30-year tradition of the COOL Conference and Idealist Campus Conference, the IMPACT supports the effective engagement of stakeholders at all levels in serving their communities.

COOL educated college students in their work to serve and strengthen communities. Planned national conferences of 1,500+ attendees at Harvard, Morehouse College, Cleveland State University, and University of Pennsylvania. Raised more than $2 million. Developed revenue-positive campus membership program; extensive curriculum; partnerships with Campus Compact, Oxfam America, and the Gund Foundation.

Idealist is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, founded in 1995, that connects people, organizations, and resources to help build a better world. Idealist aims to close the gap between intention and action by connecting people, organizations, ideas, and resources. Idealist serves the non-profit sector, jobs, internships, and resources globally. Developed curriculum for Career Services professionals to advise students on post-graduate opportunities, growth of the non-profit sector, and career trajectories.

Jumpstart works to ensure that every child in America enters elementary school prepared to succeed. Using a partnership model, college student volunteers work directly with preschool children. Led efforts to create an outcome- and evidence-based campus program model for early childhood education. Managed creation of outcome-based program model, including curriculum, training, and assessment for use by national sites. Senior member of National Management Team, with responsibility for national growth strategy. Researched and developed Balanced Scorecard with Bain & Company. Chief author of Jumpstart's Site Management and Monitoring Tool, a rubric to assess site performance recognized by Harvard Business School.

3,100+ City Year AmeriCorps members (ages 18-25) serve in 28 cities nationwide. They spend 11 months working full-time in more than 300 schools to give students the extra support they need to graduate, college and career ready. Held multiple leadership positions in the National Academy, City Year Boston, and City Year Rhode Island. Program Director for Rhode Island site of 10 teams and 80 Corps Members. The Academy was responsible for starting sites in Chicago, Columbia, Columbus, Providence, Seattle, a process catalyzed by training start-up teams who moved to the cities and equipping those teams with the knowledge and systems to build and run the organization. Developed curriculum, presented, and led annual Summer Academy trainings for 200+ staff. Authored trainings and resources for national replication of City Year; wrote the City Year Book to document organizational best practices; developed and facilitated City Year's diversity, equity, and inclusion training for professional staff and Corps Members at sites across the country. Researched evidence-based strategies to redefine service focus for community impact.
