Geethu Thomas

I am a development sector professional with a degree in Architecture and a Master’s in Planning (Housing), working towards inclusive, sustainable and resilient development.Currently, I work as Project Manager with the Knowledge and Partnerships team at SELCO Foundation, where I build impact narratives, support proposal development and manage funder reporting. My role bridges knowledge, partnerships and operations, with a focus on decentralised renewable energy and climate adaptive built environments. I am particularly interested in translating field insights into strategy aligned proposals, compliant reporting and impact focused storytelling. My experience spans research, program design, and on-ground operations in low-resource settings. I bring a strong technical foundation in participatory research, systems thinking, and spatial mapping and analysis to develop context specific built environment solutions, along with designing SOPs that strengthen program operations and delivery.In my current role, I am deepening my engagement with two thematic areas: urban resilience and health systems. In urban programs, I work on heat resilience and urban livelihoods, engaging with informal settlements, street vendors, and other vulnerable communities in rapidly changing urban contexts.In health programs, I focus on energy access for healthcare and last-mile healthcare delivery, examining the role of energy and infrastructure in enabling resilient and effective health systems.
