Regional Operations Manager
New Berlin, Wisconsin, United States
I act as the guiding force behind all operations executed by five cross-functional teams (30 direct reports) that make up the Regional Operations department for the full-service home medical equipment and respiratory company. I have continued to play a key role in integrating Wisconsin operations through two complex mergers, including the acquisition of Aerocare Holdings, Inc. Among my key contributions & achievements, I… Deliver the training, coaching, and support that empowers the team to excel. Fully own team onboarding, evaluations and discipline, while instilling a culture that fosters individual and team growth. I succeeded in keeping departmental turnover under 4% by instilling a strong culture. Prioritize and control budget spending to support operational needs, while maximizing bottom-line results. Analyze industry and consumer trends to forecast growth and create short and long-term strategic plans to meet anticipated needs. Plan and project manage initiatives to drive continuous improvement through changes to processes and staffing. Made major enhancements to current service and delivery models, while creating a more efficient delivery schedule. I achieved significant savings in terms of both labor and resources. Completely restructured the warehouse and rolled out a new racking & slotting system, which has dramatically boosted productivity. Introduced a new employee tracking system to monitor performance and error rates. I leverage insights gained to target staff training and coaching, as well as promote accountability in all operations. Fostered greater accountability, which has been instrumental in regularly passing compliance audits (FDA, ACHC, etc.) with scores of 95% or higher. Take lead point onboarding new offices as the result of acquisitions, training personnel and strategizing changes to integrate operations.

In this position, my focus was directly related to ensuring good customer service by putting necessary practices and measures in place to make sure this was achieved. In the case of an unhappy customer/patient I would be the first point of contact for any unresolved or escalated issues or complaints. Designed and implemented necessary changes to avoid future issues. I was also responsible for one on one staff training and preparing/documenting training documents. This was not only for the my direct department, but company wide. This was achieved in part through activity based costing, as well as learning each process and searching for ways to improve it. Some other areas of responsibilities included establishing relationships with vendors and manufacturers. Working in conjunction with other upper management, we focused on process improvement. Running business critical ad-hoc reports and analyzing the data, drawing conclusions and putting changes in place promptly. Developed and identified areas of potential loss, and revenue growth. Managed accounts and services based off revenue generated from products and services. Involved with strategic and long term business planning. Focused on developing and fine tuning my own leadership and management skills. Increased effective communication, and worked towards making sure my department was current with changes and updates.
