To lead a major role on conceptualizing new product design based from marketing/ customer requirements. Creating concept block diagram, selection of suitable design solution, IC (Integrated Circuits), Modules. Performing cost, performance and time to market analysis. Responsible for qualifying and sourcing suitable electronic parts based on design requirement, cost and suitability. Lead role in circuit design, circuit review, worst case study, schematic document release, BOM (Bill of Material) release. Facilitate and assist PCB layout engineer in PCB design review for good RF performance, EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility), suitability for manufacturing. Involve in PCB fabrication outsource, building of prototype electronic boards. Work closely with suppliers/ vendors to ensure low cost, quality and on time delivery of electronic parts. Involve in price negotiation. Work closely with firmware and software developers and provide technical support in software and hardware integration testing. Responsible in creating prototype hardware testing & evaluation procedures and checklists. Conceptualize and realize methods for automated programming and testing.Create test procedures. Work closely with vendors and programmers to design and build automated programming and testing jigs. Engage, equip and facilitate EMS (Electronic Manufacturing Service) provider with technical support, material and scheduling in trial and mass-production. Carries departmental budget forecast quarterly. Ensure departmental expenditure is within stipulated budget. Qualifies new or used test equipments to be purchased. Lead role in getting FCC/CE certification. This involves qualifying EMC test houses, documentation, EMC sample preparation, technical support until the product is certified. Manage mechanical design & development by working closely with mechanical designers and vendors.

• Technical support window with R&D company in South Africa • Worked closely with design & development team in South Africa in developing RF vehicle tracking device • To understand customer requirement and liaise with design team in early design stage • Keep track of project schedule • Resolve technical issues pertaining to specifications, BOM (part list), schematics, PCB layout, production jigs, testing procedures, test equipments, field complaints, • Provide technical support for automotive manufacturer in product testing and qualification • Technical support window with Contract Manufacturer (Production of PCBA, testing and assembly) • Initiate new production, provide production related documents i.e Gerber files, schematics, PCB layout, BOM, process flow, equipment list. • Technical support for Purchasing Dept on electronic components related issues • Review with contact manufacturer the production requirements and resolve open issues • Become resident engineer at contract manufacturer plant during initial stage of production to quickly resolve production issues. • Provide technical input for presentation slides for sales & marketing

• Design application circuits for RFIC according to customer specification and requirements. • Involve in early concept stage to review customer requirements • Draft technical specifications, review with customer and get a buy-off. • Work closely with software and PCB layout engineers to develop prototype. • Review PCB layout with layout engineer • Support software engineer during software-hardware integration. • Source new components from suppliers to be used in the product. • Provide technical support to customer during product development. • Work closely with test engineers to ensure product complies with specification. • To perform RF measurement and verification on RFICs. • To support RFIC evaluation kit development to be used for marketing/sales.

• Design car audio electronics according to automotive customer specification and requirements. • Evaluate design concepts and select most suitable design with consideration to part, processes, cost and quality. • Monitor cost and quality standard of the product. • Work with sample group in making and testing of prototype, organize sample evaluation. • Responsible for release of design and engineering documents such as product specification, software-hardware interface specification, production test specification, schematics, drawings and part list. • Involve in schematic review activity. • Involve in PCB layout review activity. • Provide technical support to production during sample, pilot and mass production stage whenever necessary. • Ensure all development activities are followed according to schedule.
