Purchase Engineer Major Roles and responsibilities – Purchase Functions – New requirement from internal external customers Reading engineering drawings with specifications Selecting suppliers for exploring requirements through SAP (MM Module) Releasing Request for Quotation (RFQ) Quotation Analysis, Comparative Statements and Price Settlement, Aluminium, Casting, Forging, Machining commodities. Releasing Purchase Orders (PO), tooling Purchase Orders (PR-PO) Negotiation for Cost, Lead-time & payment terms Solving technical queries & payment related queries of suppliers Interaction with Engineering, SQE & SCM team for solving supplier queries Follow-up of part samples for completion of ISIR & PPAP process Assigning business of annual volume (Share of Business) to Supplier Supplier Quality Improvement (PPM)/ Quality & Service Level Agreement Coordination & Implementation of revised drawing at supplier end (DMN/ECN/ECR) Strategic Sourcing Cost saving/Cost Reengineering projects New Product Development Localization Resourcing Supplier Reduction Supplier Partnership Projects MIS Reports Budget Reports for Annual Budgeted Saving/Impact Analysis Price Reduction/Increase management with respect to Budget. Making technical inflation on the basis of SIAM report. Familiar with ‘Inco terms’ .
