As AI Manager at CHRISTUS MUGUERZA Health System, I lead the end-to-end development of AI healthcare solutions, from clinical needs assessment to enterprise-wide deployment. I architect and implement evidence-based AI solutions for radiology, surgery, and pain management, integrating them with existing clinical workflows, biomedical devices and PACS/EHR systems. My role involves sizing computational requirements, establishing success metrics, and managing stakeholder engagement across clinical and technical teams. I've successfully delivered multiple AI projects that have measurably improved diagnostic accuracy and reduced interpretation times, while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and data privacy standards.

As Innovation Manager, I led the rollout of AI tools in radiology and surgery, helping doctors find urgent cases faster and treat patients better. I guided a team that brought new tech into hospitals, making it easy for medical staff to use. This led to shorter wait times for test results, better accuracy in finding problems, and new ways to give excellent patient care across our hospital system.

In this role, I was responsible for the customization of the electronic health record (EHR), exploring the needs of clinical professionals and translating them into technical requirements with software manufacturers. I proposed targeted innovations at each stage of the process, overseeing the fulfillment of expectations and ensuring successful deployment.

In this role, I focused on improving processes within a single hospital by leading multidisciplinary teams. Through agile project management methodologies, we achieved advancements in routine indicators for the hospital, resulting in improved patient safety.

In my previous role as Medical Quality Coordinator, I was tasked with analyzing and preventing medical errors through strategic policy and protocol development. A major responsibility involved implementing a hand hygiene program, following WHO guidelines, to minimize nosocomial infections and adverse events. This initiative significantly improved patient safety and reduced hospital-acquired infections, showcasing the positive impact of proactive, quality-centered measures in healthcare settings.

As the Founder of ON Medical, a medical education startup, I managed finance, vendor selection, and legal aspects while leading educational courses for healthcare professionals. In addition to overseeing a team of 20 doctors, I negotiated nationwide partnerships for expanded access to our emergency medicine certifications. This role showcased my leadership and commitment to enhancing medical education.

I hold a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence in Healthcare, where I focused on AI and machine learning foundations, biomedical data management, medical imaging diagnosis, healthcare management, tele-assistance, AI-based business models, cognitive systems, deep learning, and completed a thesis on a specific topic within the field.
