Associate Software Engineer @ Fannie Mae
About
I didn't start out as a software engineer. I started as a student who genuinely believed the right systems can change how people experience their environment. During my undergraduate experience, I spent three years building things from scratch that had never existed before: a leadership team, a governance structure with no template, a resource hub for students who had none. I didn't have a roadmap. I learned that when you don't have one, you build it — and then you document it well enough that the next person doesn't have to start from zero. That instinct — build the thing, make it repeatable, make it better — followed me into software engineering. At Fannie Mae, I work at the intersection of engineering and operations, which means I'm equally comfortable writing a Python script and standing in front of a stakeholder room explaining why the system failed and what we're doing about it. I'm drawn to problems that sit between the technical and the human — where a well-designed process can actually change how a team moves. When I'm not working, you'll find me volunteering with my local community or getting lost in a new city.I'm always excited to connect with fellow changemakers and technologists. If you're building something at the edge of product, operations, and engineering — send me a message on LinkedIn!
