• Implemented DMAIC construct and reduced the stress corrosion cracking defect of tube and shell type heat exchangers. • Identified causes of corrosion cracking of tubes to understand critical needs and established goal statement. Performed Measurement System Analysis (MSA) for check the integrity in data values and used Cause and Effect diagram to narrow down tensile stress as the root cause in Carbon Steel. • Identified Hot Rolled Carbon Steel to improve yield strength and experimentally verified it as the best solution. • Monitored the quality of the new production process through Control Charts and standardized the production process.
