In my role as Head of Platform Services at Grab, I led a team of over 20 people through multiple restructuring exercises to ensure a smooth transition of scope and efficiency. By driving product prioritization and improvements to merchant finance reporting, we achieved a 6% increase in NPS scores upon rollout. Additionally, I led the collaboration with the Social Security Organisation (SOCSO) to ensure Grab's e-hailing drivers and delivery partners are covered under their self-employed insurance scheme.

Reduced the resolution time of merchant payment disputes to 48 hours from 1-4 weeks by introducing clear SOPs. Developed a multi-faceted communication plan that enabled 100% compliance of existing driver-partners with the newly introduced e-hailing regulations.

Led the team to support the expansion of ride-hailing services by >8x (3 to 26 cities) in less than 3 years. Reduced payment lag by 80% by automating manual driver payment processes through integration with external payment processors.

Structuring and execution of conventional bonds and Sukuk denominated in various currencies including USD and MYR for sovereigns and corporates. Other responsibilities include preparation of pitches and internal credit reports, financial and credit analysis, and liaise and deal with various stakeholders. Areas of coverage include the Malaysian and regional debt capital markets, Thailand and Indonesia.

-Participated in engagements and examinations of investment banks and other regulated entities. -Conducted in depth research on the industry and presented the findings to the senior management.

Joined the Graduate Management Executive Programme; rotated between four departments, the Audit Oversight Board (AOB), the Capital Market Development Fund (CMDF) Secretariat, Market Surveillance unit and World Capital Markets Symposium (WCMS) Secretariat. Gained a diverse set of skills during my time on rotation.

Wrote daily reports on the performance of Malaysian government securities, currency and equities markets as well as US Treasuries. Updated charts and tables in Excel for the weekly, monthly, quarterly and Board of Directors reports. Analysed data obtained from the Bloomberg Professional Service to comment on the weekly performance of the Malaysian currency. Learnt to report trends in the financial market in a simple and concise manner.
