CPD is a part of CPBU focusing on all update and patch releases after any major release to ensure quality in simultaneous release model approach. My role involves leading efforts for Core Storage features which includes Scrum Master role along with individual contributor for executions (manual / automated), writing the TCs / scripts / debugging / resolving roadblocks for my team. Language : perl, python, shell scripting, VMware PowerCli, Java Platform : ESXi, UNIX (cent OS/RHEL/OpenSUSE) and Windows. Tools : HP-QC, perforce, Bugzilla, Jenkins / CI, I/O generation tool, etc.

Automation for Storage, Virtualization, Server and Backup using IP-automata tool: Create IP-automatas for resolving very frequently occurring alerts following SOPs provided. Understand and Develop/update automated test cases for the requirements. Report Bugs of the tested platform and requirements. Create library modules and add functions for the common recurrently occurring tasks. Acceptance runs for the test cases developed by the team. Client has a huge setup, automations needs to be written so as to improve efficiency .

NetApp Rolling Rock 7-mode to C-mode porting for REP feature: To get the understanding of the requirements as per the client specifications provided to automate. To get acquainted with Netapp (NAS) environment to proceed for automation. To get to get the flow of the library developed indigenously. To Design, Develop and Test the utility so developed. To enhance / modify the utility / tool as per the requirements.

RCM-Cellera Tool: To Estimate, Design, Develop and Test the utility so required. To get familiar with EMC’s NAS framework and understanding of RCM team’s requirements. To get updated with the storage domain knowledge required in the project. To develop a tool (written in bash) to fetch information from the system as and when required. To interact with different RCM teams both ONSITE as well as OFFSHORE to ensure proper understanding of the processes involved. RESET-it: To get familiar with EMC’s Celerra(NAS box) framework. To get updated with the storage domain knowledge required in the project. To enhance a utility provided by EMC to have functionality to provide factory state reset to CELERRA required by NAS system in perl (script). To Estimate, Design, Develop and Test the utility so developed. To enhance the utility as per the requirements.
