Responsible for delivering the next generation LTE/LTE-A Pan India All IP networks including technology selection, RFPs, Vendor selection, network architecture, design, planning/engineering and network rollout with total network investment crossing $30 Billion dollars. The network is built as Data Centric network with VoLTE support. Responsible for Core Networks, Access Network and Backhaul network with complete infrastructure design. This is a green field LTE network from using 2300Mhz, 1800Mhz and 850Mhz spectrum with TDD+FDD carrier aggregation supported covering 90% of India Population using 250,000 Tower sites, 100,000 Indoor combo Small cell+WiFi, 10,000 Outdoor small cell serving High Speed Internet, VoLTE, Mobile TV and other Jio Apps. Network is serving 60,000 TB per day with 99.999% service uptime using dual homing and MESH networking.

Worked as Senior VP Network planning and engineering for end-to-end wireline networks in Bharti Airtel India, 4th largest mobile operator in world. Invested $2B capital in network transformation projects (40G/100G Expressway, IP Supercore, Metro core networks, Mobility centric backhaul, and deep fiberization) addressing 2G/3G/LTE SMB/Enterprise/Wholesale customers. Led all three business units (Mobile, Enterprise, Fixed line) network solutions. Defined global strategy for network expansion, process innovation to achieve global network standards. Spearheaded network outsourcing and network optimization activity bringing 31% Capex savings and 7% Opex savings.

Deep expertise in Software and Network engineering for telecom equipment, product development and software development, CICD/DevOps in Core optics, IP networks, Broadband xDSL/FTTx networks targeted for Tier-1 operators in USA AT&T-Uverse, Verizon-FioS, Japan operators NTT/KDD. Software development for building next generation SS7 based voice switching systems for Alcatel Lucent. Real-time operating system was simulated on IBM-UX platforms for voice signalling reducing overall cost and reducing outage downtime sutantially.

Write embedded system software for Tektronix test and measuring instruments ranging from Spectrum analyzers, Signal testers etc. Supported Indian customer base.
