Co-Founder and Creative Director of Machina, a wearable technology company that creates clothes which extend the functionality of the human body. Created his first company by the age of 17 designing Mexican luchador masks with english football team logos during Germany’s World Cup to be sold outside stadiums. Antonio flew back to Mexico to study fashion design where he introduces many fashion collections to big institutions and companies like FIT New York, Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Plastique Magazine UK, HYÉRES International Festival France among others. Under Antonio’s direction, Machina’s MIDI Controller Jacket was named “The most beautiful wearable tech” by Wired magazine. Machina is one of the first wearable technology companies to embed technology in a functional and scalable way. The story behind Machina – the brand that is creating a range of products with embedded intelligence and sensors that is paving the road for a new generation of “intelligent” streetwear clothes that will allow you to monitor your music, life style and even be creative! Their most famous product called The MIDI Controller Jacket was named "The Most Beautiful Wearable Tech" by Wired magazine 2014. Currently, Antonio is launching OBE Technology (Out of Body Experience) a group of sensors, modules, and technology-enabled gear, designed to work together to measure and enhance human performance. Through a noteworthy manufacturing process and deep understanding of the smart clothing industry, Antonio and his team are taking the industry to the next level by tackling the future of apparel by embedding electronic components into any kind of fabric and apparel with the highest quality standards through these industry verticals: sports, lifestyle, healthcare, military, gaming, and space. Plan de Escape is a multidisciplinary design project focused in the fashion of a prison in Mexico. Born with a first approach in a series of photographs focusing on a more anthropological study of inmates in prisons, observing how they adapt to different group stereotypes like punks, barrio, cholos, san judas, and more. All with the benefit of donating a menswear sustainable fashion brand.
