Design and maintain capacity models and material control systems. Manage systems to monitor demand, material usage, waste and obsolete stock. Responsible for scheduling production resources based on sales forecasts and capacity. Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and ensure raw material and packaging waste are minimal.

Sourced, purchased and arranged delivery of packaging and production consumables to meet manufacturing plans; negotiated prices at, or below, standard costs. Achieved considerable cost savings by reducing supplier base and negotiating better prices against volume orders. Proactively managed material stocks to ensure write-offs were kept to a minimum.

In charge of purchasing and the stock control of packaging items, relating to fresh flower sales for main UK retailers. In addition, responsible for inventory management of all short term rental equipment required for the business, which involves £ 2 million on deposit payments annually as well as involvement with utility buying for the company.

Responsible for end to end stock flow through supply chain of fresh flowers and pot plants. Managing a team of 35 people over 2 shifts, tasked with goods in and picking duties to ensure correct stock was available at all times for the packing operation.

Member of senior management team and active participant in the development of the company strategy relating to all stock/purchasing processes.

Lead and motivate a team which is responsible for end to end stock flow of FMCG, including order processing, transport and inter company stock movement

My first Job in England in 1998 was with Thomas Cook. I was part of a newly created team which took calls from Dutch banks dealing with Thomas Cook Travellers Cheques. In 2001 I became Team Leader of UK&I Order team, which dealt with order for Travellers Cheques and Foreign Currency from Businesses and Customers. In this year Thomas Cook finance became Travelex. In 2004 I became manager of Scheduling and Management Information team. Responsible for scheduling of 300+ agents in call centre + all regular and Ad Hoc MI requests for operational departments and customers.

Before moving to the UK, I had a military career for 13 years in the Dutch Army. After spending 6 years at Dutch head quarters running the military messes, I moved to NATO head quarters where I was a sergeant chef at the officers club. Left the Army as a staff sergeant.
